The Performing Arts Center's new 500-seat Bankhead Theater, which opened on October 1, 2007, serves as the home for a number of the area's finest performing arts organizations, including Del Valle Fine Arts, Livermore Valley Opera, California Independent Film Festival, Livermore-Amador Symphony, Valley Dance Theater, Cantabella Children's Chorus, Pleasanton Playhouse and the Valley Concert Chorale.

In addition, the theater hosts visiting performance ensembles from around the Bay Area, including the Pacific Chamber Symphony, Lamplighters Musical Theatre and the Children's Theatre Center. Finally, LVPAC presents a full array of performance activities drawn from artists and ensembles across the United States and beyond.

LVPACā€™s goal is to provide arts and entertainment activities for the entire community throughout the year, energizing downtown Livermore and the Valley's arts and cultural scene. In addition, the theater can be used for conferences, seminars, meetings and public events.
