The Race through Darkwood Forest: An adaptation of Aesop’s fable, The Tortoise and the Hare.
Timmy the Tortoise is invisible, or at least he thinks he might as well be. None of the other animals in Paradise Grove give him the time of day. Randal the Hare, however, is revered by all. To earn the respect he so desperately craves, Timmy takes extreme measures; he challenges Randal to a race … through Darkwood Forest! Darkwood, the most dangerous forest in all the land, is home to an “evil” Ogre who has the power to cast sleeping spells, and does so to Randal, trapping him in a cave. Meanwhile Timmy, captured by the indigenous turkeys of Turkey Tribe Village, must rescue Randal from the Ogre and save his own shell from the villainous Tornbush, a turkey bent on world domination. Mayhem and madness ensue as bats, moles, squirrels, and all sorts of creatures try to help Timmy and Randal finish their race.
