Based on the New York Times bestseller by Dan Baum chronicling the changes in the lives of nine New Orleans residents between hurricanes Betsy & Katrina (two storms which forever changed the face of the city), this original musical adaptation by Paul Sanchez & Colman DeKay was originally released as a concept cast recording in January of 2011 and played a sold-out one-night, two performance staged concert on the mainstage of the historic Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre starring Tony Award-winning Broadway actor Michael Cerveris, author Paul Sanchez, Emmy & Grammy nominee Harry Shearer, and a host of New Orleans musical & theatre talents.
In October, a revised version of the show played a 4 night run at Tipitina's with the core performers taking on multiple roles & the addition of author Dan Baum as narrator for the production.
