Earline and her daughter Sally are venturing to the stepping off point to leave a marker to Sally’s newly deceased father, who has died in an oil rig that has blown up. While there, they meet Behrman who is assembling a machine to collect the crude seeping onto the shore. This machine promises riches, but Earline discovers that this machine, isn’t what it promises to be.
