This successful revue of women in solo performance (any genre) returns to its regular Tuesday night slot at the AllWays with a new emcee...the inimitable Mandi "KITTY KAOS" Turner...and a renewed emphasis on original material.

EXTENDED AGAIN, THROUGH JULY 27th!
Shakespeare's "King Lear" boasts a tradition of double-casting the actress who portrays the emperor's loving daughter in the role of his caustic traveling companion because those two characters--Cordelia and The Fool--are the only ones willing to risk telling the truth to the deluded old tyrant.
That bit of theatre lore serves as inspiration for and summation of Cordelia was The Fool, the new cabaret revue from Clove Productions. On Tuesday nights at the AllWays Lounge, CwTF will showcase New Orleans women working in any form--poetry, comedy, performance, dance, music, storytelling--who are ready to tell the loud, strong truth about who they are and what matters most to them. "Original" and "bold" are the only requirements of the players.
The line-up of performers changes each week. KELLIE GLEASON is mistress of ceremonies. The production is managed by LINDY BRUNS.
Clove Productions founder MICHAEL MARTIN has deep experience with the revue format, from the successful one-nighter The Little Death Show here in New Orleans to the cross-country hit Verbatim Verboten to Chicago's long-running Beast Women. He hopes to see Cordelia was The Fool become this city's premier outlet for original short performance.
