This original production describes the adventures, and misadventures, of the Evacuation Theatre Troupe's road tour of 2006. As seven actors and educators take to the road on a mission to tell the story of Louisiana's birth and rebirth, their personalities often clash with hilarious results. If you've ever taken an RV vacation, or consider going on the road with six friends, this show is an education of those experiences.
The actors are joined onstage by the St. Bernard Community Chorus, under the direction of Peggy Weggener, with musical interludes that help advance the story.

"Christian Bordelon and William Schneider wrung every comic and touching nuance from the Evacuation Theatre Troupe's account of traveling in an RV "To the Headwaters" of the Mississippi River. Their journey included stops in Nowhere, Texas; an encounter with police in Red Cloud, Nevada; the generosity and love of the people in a small Kansas town; and the magical moment of standing in the water where the Mississippi begins." David Cuthbert, Times Picayune
To the Headwaters is a comedic and poignant look at the travels of the Evacuation Theatre Troupe, who in the fall of 2006, rented a 37 foot RV and traveled up and down the Great River Road to the Headwaters of the Mississippi, sharing the history, heartache and humor of Louisiana with audiences across the Midwest. To the Headwaters was adapted from the troupe's road journals. Written and Directed by Christian Bordelon and Barry Lemoine
