SHORT TAKES, a series written by LOST playwright (as a part of the recent One Act Festival at Le Chat Noir) and native New Orleanian Mary Louise Wilson, will be read at Le Chat Noir.
THE CROSSTOWN READING SERIES is a collaborative effort of several local producers to continue the positive momentum of live theatre in New Orleans. The focus of will be on new plays, or plays new to New Orleans, with an emphasis on plays penned by writers with a local connection.
Other plays featured during the January launch month are Pete McElligott's WITH A BANG and THE SCUTLEY PAPERS by Jamie Wax. Carl Walker will direct three of the four January readings.

Founding members of The Crosstown Reading Series are Aimee Hayes (Artistic Director of Southern Rep Theater), Carl Walker and Jamie Wax (Director and Featured Actor, All Kinds of Theatre), Andrew Larimer (Founder, NOLA Project), Dane Rhodes (Founder Dem Boys Productions), and Barbara Motley (Proprietor, Le Chat Noir).
