Multiple Big Easy Award winner, Amy Alvarez teams up again with Musical Director, Jefferson Turner for another original cabaret performance showcasing the music of George and Ira Gershwin. This team of brothers wrote the lyrics and music for some of Broadways legendary shows and top musical films in the first half of the 20th century. Mostly, the show will feature selections from the George Gershwin songbook including "Someone To Watch Over Me," " Our Love Is Here to Stay," " I Got Rhythm," "Summertime," and more. An evening to make you smile, sigh, tap your toes and hum after the final curtain. Call 581-5812 for reservations. (This is one of the many great shows with a delayed opening due to Hurricane Gustav. Le Chat Noir hopes New Orleans will support them all!)

A glorious cabaret evening, by George! (and Ira)
There may be more pleasurable ways to spend an evening than listening to a vibrant, sparkling singer caress, chirp and trill her way through 34 George Gershwin songs, but not many.
