This production of Bugsy Malone, Jr. will be dedicated to the memory of one of New Orleans ' all-time great performers, Cynthia Owen. Ms. Owen passed away earlier this month on July 6, on the eve of her 45th birthday. She had directed the CCLYT (then known as Summer Stages)production of Fame, the Musical in August of 2002 at Southern Rep Theatre. The show was great fun and Ms. Owen made it even more fun to rehearse and perform. The teen cast loved working with her and Ms. Owen worked tirelessly to create the best production possible as both director and choreographer.
Cynthia, we miss you already.
