Presented as part of Mad Wenches and Wondrous Froward Women in conjunction with the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane. One of three featured female playwrights.
Kate wants to be an actor, but is constantly rejected. Her roommate, Amy creates a one-woman play for Kate by rewriting Shakespeare's women characters to explain Kate's audition experiences. After many rejection notices, Amy receives an offer to have her play produced in The Hole in the Wall Theatre, Randolph J. Viceroy, III, Proprietor. He agrees to allow Kate to star and Amy to direct. As neither one has any theatre experience, what ensues is chaotic fun and unexpected results.
