Theatre Louisiane is an itinerant group of allied individual producer-artists known as "Resident Artists" who pool their resources (venue, publicity, staff) to create Theatre Louisiane's body of work. They actively support and advise one another as needed. As an organization, they do not produce an ongoing "season" of shows, but instead use a method of long-term creative development (usually a minimum of six months per project) to enhance their artistic results. The group has received critical acclaim for their highly diverse artist-centered performances, having produced eleven works which have ranged from progressive versions of the classics, to contemporary cutting edge plays, to original projects.
The artists of Theatre Louisiane, Inc. were honored by New Orleans Magazine as "People To Watch" for 2006-2007.
