Jesuit's Philelectic Society, the oldest extracurricular activity at the school, is dedicated to educating students in all aspects of theatre arts by producing high quality amateur theatre for the New Orleans area.
Male cast members are selected from the Jesuit student body, while female cast members are selected from schools from throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area. Occasionally a member of the Jesuit faculty or the New Orleans theatre community is asked to join our productions.
Production selection is made from a wide variety of shows including new and innovative musicals like The Who's Tommy and Footloose as well as classics such as Romeo and Juliet and The Crucible.
