Nikki Melvin Johnson completed her Masters in Vocal Performance at the University of Southern Mississippi, under the teaching of Dr. Maryann Kyle, after a year of graduate study at Baylor University.
She served as Director of Choral Activities at Gulfport High School from 2004 to 2006, where she led her groups to superior ratings in local, state, and national competitions. Graduating summa cum laude, Nikki received the Bachelor of Music from William Carey University.
Her stage appearances include La Boheme, Beauty and the Beast, Sweet Charity, Into the Woods, Clue: The Musical, The Taffettas, Stardust and Some Enchanted Evening.
She is currently teaching Voice, Music Appreciation, and Musical Theatre Workshop at Jones County Junior College where she also serves as musical director and producer of Musical Theatre. Music directing credits include Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, and Cabaret.
