Dr. Mike Lopinto has coordinated high-profile events featuring classical celebrities from Plåcido Domingo, Renée Fleming, and Sir James Galway to pop icons Dionne Warwick, the Pointer Sisters, and Patti LaBelle as well as designing award-winning Symphony and Arts Galas at The University of Southern Mississippi.
Lopinto’s theatrical credits range from directing and choreographing to designing and acting with favorite roles including Cats (Old Deuteronomy), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey 2), Annie (Daddy Warbucks), Carousel (Mr. Snow), West Side Story (Doc, swing), Hello, Dolly! (Stanley), Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma!, Camelot, Paint Your Wagon, Guys and Dolls, Oliver!, The Music Man, Into the Woods, Bye Bye Birdie (music director), Barnum, The Drowsy Chaperone and Ragtime. He has directed numerous productions including Sondheim in the City in its Off-Broadway premiere in 2011.
His voice can be heard at all Southern Miss games as "The Voice of The Pride" and on commercials on CNN and ESPN among others. He is on the staff of The University of Southern Mississippi.
