Louise Cochrane Boteler was born in Washington and lived in New Orleans for 16 years. In 1975, She received a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Wake Forest University in North Carolina and in 1991, a Master's Degree in Music and Choral Conducting from Louisiana State University.
She was Music Director At Louise S. McGehee School for 16 Years. She was state president of the American Choral Directors Association, former Chairwoman of the Louisiana Music Educators Association and founder of its Junior High All-State Chorus, and head counselor of Camp Nakanawa in Crossville, Tenn. She was a member of St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Rockville, MD.
Louise Boteler passed away Saturday, October 15, 1994, in Rockville, MD, a victim of cancer.
