Last night I saw the world premiere of Dorothy And Alan - Dorothy Parker, the well-known wit of the twentieth century, and her husband Alan Campbell, who was a Hollywood writer and actor - and it was written by Michael Cahill, who is a local actor here and it stars Michael as Alan Campbell and Janet Shea as Dorothy Parker. I gotta tell you, folks, it was fabulous. Don't you dare miss it. It's a two-character play, really - monologues, kinda - but it's funny, sad, elegant, truthful, and so touching. It's at le chat noir, it says here, through July 21, but I hope it plays forever. I can tell you that this is going to go on. This is a piece that has legs. It's going to be able to be done many, many times. I don't know if it can be done as well because Shea and Cahill really do it beautifully, but please go see it. Dorothy And Alan - four [claps]...let me give 'em a five.

Rating: Five claps [out of a possible four].
