The New Orleans premiere of this brilliant musical by Larry Gelbart, Cy Coleman, and David Zippel takes us back to the Golden Age of Hollywood. Stine (Jimmy Murphy) is a writer whose works mirror his real life. He's been brought to Hollywood based on the strength of his first book which producer Buddy Fidler (Lance Spellerberg) is producing...his way. His long-suffering wife Gabby (Chris Lusk) can only watch as her promising husband slowly slips into the mire of Hollywood. His characters come to life onstage as part of a movie, with both the 'film' and 'real life' sharing the stage side by side. Stine's alter ego is a hardboiled detective named Stone (Robert Pavlovich)
